Hohepa is a disability service provider, catering for special needs children, and adults with an intellectual disability, where respect, personal development and caring go hand-in-hand. Hohepa staff offer support to pupils and adult service-users, helping them to lead lives filled with meaning and purpose.
Hohepa Auckland offers opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to live, learn and work with others of all abilities in an atmosphere of mutual care and respect. The Day Service offers day programmes for people who live residentially at Hohepa .
Hohepa Canterbury, although part of the wider Hohepa Homes Trust Board, is semi autonomous and thus undertakes its own strategic planning. The focus is on being a quality provider with sustainable services, such as living options, community participation, artistic therapies and agriculture.
A new Hohepa service was started in Kapiti, Wellington in 2015. Set on a five-hectare pocket of land at the edge of Paraparaumu, this new service for people with intellectual disabilities will evolve in response to current principles of Enabling Good Lives , making possible a lifestyle like all others of a similar age, founded on principles of anthroposophy.
